Where I’m coming from…
I am getting old and tired of seeing the voters in this country repeatedly voting for the demise of this once great country.
In high school, I considered myself a Republican only because:
- I thought the only choices were R or D
- The Democrat ideals were to have the government tell you what and how you were supposed to think (political correctness).
- Democrats wanted to steal your money to give to things the government had no business interfering with (health care issues, arts funding) or to reward people for not taking responsibility for themselves (welfare).
I had a problem claiming the letter R as my symbol because:
- They wanted to ignore the First Amendment and establish Christianity as a defacto state religion.
- They wanted to steal your money to give to things the government had no business interfering with (their corporate friends, healthcare issues, war mongering).
When I got into college, I found out about the Libertarian Party. I thought I had found a party I could get behind. I still didn’t agree with everything they stood for and the exclusionary regulations placed on anyone outside the 2 controlling parties that makes if virtually impossible for anyone that doesn’t believe in the fascism promoted by them to have a chance.
I eventually realized that the Rs and Ds want to control the same things. They may differ slightly on just how they plan to control things, but even if they want to control it the way you want them to control it, you have to give up your right to control it for yourself and it can be controlled a different way as soon as the winds change direction.
I never joined the Libertarian Party and after this last election, I am glad I didn’t. While theRs & Ds nominated good old fashioned fascists to run for President, the Libertarians decided to go with “Fascism Light” in their nomination…
While the Libertarian candidate was the lesser of the three evils, a vote for evil is a vote FOR evil. Any vote for a candidate you don’t support (a vote for the lesser evil) is a wasted vote and you get what you deserve, evil (aka. fascism).
Fascism:
a political philosophy that exalts society above the individual and stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
